Six types of customization support exist within TeamLeader. For a fee, Virtual Global offers consulting support for customizing TeamLeader to meet specific needs.
1) Form Designer - The Form Designer allows for the creation of industry specific forms.
Example: A construction business may require forms for tracking ‘Supplies Ordered’.
2) Data Driven Labels - Labels on screens may be changed to reflect the terminology of a specific industry.
Example: A construction business may use the term ‘project’ rather than ‘task’.
3) Add-on Tools - Industry-specific tools can be added directly to the TeamLeader menu. TeamLeader will pass parameters to the tools as directed by the administrator to provide high levels of communication between tools and TeamLeader
Example: A construction business may wish to launch a knowledge base from TeamLeader.
4) Industry-specific Categories
Example: A construction business may categorize projects as ‘supply orders’, ‘electric’, ‘plumbing’, ‘fixtures’, etc.
5) TeamLeader Plug-ins - Allows for industry specific fields and functionality to be added directly to the main TeamLeader forms using Visual Basic.
Example: A construction business may wish to capture zoning codes.
6) Custom Field – A user-customizable field that can hold up to 254 characters. The administrator configures the System Options utility to make this field visible and also to allow some or all users to edit this field.
